Taste of Heaven Southern Kitchen is seeking a reliable catering event setup and delivery assistant. This position loads catering orders, drives a company catering vehicle, completes deliveries, sets up buffets and returns after events for breakdown when scheduled.
Responsibilities
- Review event paperwork and loading checklists before departure
- Load food, beverages, serving equipment, linens and supplies
- Safely drive the company catering vehicle to venues and client locations
- Deliver catering orders on time and communicate any delays
- Set up buffet tables, linens, chafing dishes and beverage stations
- Arrange serving utensils, plates and other event supplies
- Light chafing fuel and verify safe food-holding temperatures
- Present catering displays neatly and according to company standards
- Coordinate professionally with clients, venue staff and event leads
- Return for event breakdown when scheduled
- Pack, load and return catering equipment to the kitchen
- Clean, organize and restock equipment after events
- Report missing, damaged or unused items
- Keep the catering vehicle clean and organized
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
- Must qualify under the company’s commercial vehicle insurance
- Comfortable driving a catering van or similar vehicle
- Catering, delivery, banquet or event setup experience preferred
- Professional appearance and customer-service skills
- Dependable, punctual and able to follow event instructions
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Able to push carts and transport hot boxes and catering equipment
- Available for early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Comfortable working flexible and changing event schedules
Compensation
- $19.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience
- Paid time includes loading, driving, setup, breakdown and equipment return
- Opportunity for additional event and delivery shifts
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
