At Tarvos Talent, we are partnering with a well-established, project-based services company in the Pearland / South Houston area to identify a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist. This role is ideal for a payroll professional with strong accounting fundamentals and hands-on experience posting and reconciling payroll journal entries.
Role Highlights
- Process and validate payroll and timekeeping data in ADP Workforce Now
- Prepare weekly certified payroll reports for project-based work
- Partner with department leaders to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Post, review, and reconcile payroll journal entries to the general ledger; support month-end close
- Maintain organized payroll documentation to support audits and compliance
- Process employee changes and manage PTO/accrual updates
Ideal Background
- 2 years of payroll experience (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
- Strong understanding of payroll accounting and GL posting
- Certified payroll experience a plus
