A growing and well-established service-based organization in the Pearland area is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and optimize the AP function. This individual will lead day-to-day accounts payable operations, manage vendor relationships, improve processes, and partner closely with accounting and operational leadership in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process including invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, vendor maintenance, and reconciliations
- Manage and mentor AP staff while driving accountability, accuracy, and efficiency
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of high-volume invoices and vendor payments
- Partner with operations and project teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and approval issues
- Monitor AP aging and cash flow considerations while maintaining strong vendor relationships
- Assist with month-end close activities including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting related to payables
- Develop and improve AP policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and workflow efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements
- Support leadership with reporting, analytics, and operational improvements related to AP functions
Qualifications
- 5 years of progressive accounts payable experience
- Prior leadership or management experience preferred
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of invoice processing, reconciliations, vendor management, and AP workflows
- Construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or project-based industry experience is highly preferred
- Strong Excel skills and experience working within ERP/accounting systems
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work cross-functionally with multiple departments
