FARMERS MARKET SALES ASSOCIATE — TARTA BAKERY

Tarta is a Boulder-based Basque cheesecake company specializing in small-batch, high-quality desserts. Inspired by the iconic cheesecakes of San Sebastián, our cheesecakes are caramelized on the outside and soft and creamy on the inside. We’re a small, nimble team looking for the right people to grow with Tarta.

We’re looking for an energetic, dependable Farmers Market Sales Associate to represent Tarta Bakery at area markets, including Boulder, Louisville, Nederland, and more. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys talking with people, loves the lively farmers market atmosphere, and is excited about food and local businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Pick up cheesecakes, market supplies, and display materials from our kitchen

· Safely transport products and materials to and from farmers markets

· Set up the market tent, table, signage, and product display

· Welcome customers and share information about Tarta Bakery and our cheesecakes

· Offer friendly, engaging service and confidently sell our products

· Process customer purchases accurately

· Keep the booth attractive, organized, clean, and well stocked

· Break down the tent and display after each market

· Return remaining products and market materials to the kitchen as needed

REQUIREMENTS

· Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record

· Reliable transportation suitable for carrying products and market equipment

· Willing and able to lift, load, unload, and transport products, a tent, tables, and display materials

· Comfortable setting up and taking down a farmers market booth

· Dependable and punctual, including for early-morning and weekend shifts

· Energetic, personable, and comfortable starting conversations with customers

· Genuine interest in food and enthusiasm for Tarta Bakery’s products

· Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, or sales experience preferred

· Able to work independently and responsibly

· A flexible schedule is a plus, as occasional last-minute market opportunities may arise

SCHEDULE

Part-time and market-based. Shifts may include early mornings and weekends. Specific market dates and hours will be discussed during the interview process. Flexibility to work occasional last-minute markets is a plus.

COMPENSATION

$20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.

LOCATION

Our kitchen is located in Boulder, with markets throughout the surrounding area. Associates must be comfortable driving from Boulder to nearby towns and cities for markets. Locations include Boulder, Louisville, Longmont, Nederland, Golden, and occasionally Denver.
