We are working with a top Am Law 100 firm with a strong national presence and a growing Downtown Denver office. Their Private Wealth practice—widely recognized for serving high-net-worth individuals and families, is seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Legal Assistant to support a high-performing legal team in a fast-paced, high-expectation, in-office environment.
Practice Group Background:
The Private Wealth group advises high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses on sophisticated estate planning and wealth preservation strategies. Their work includes family legacy planning, asset gifting, tax planning, business counseling, corporate governance, and succession planning. This team operates at a high level, supporting complex and often sensitive client matters that require precision, discretion, and exceptional service.
This role supports a highly respected Office Managing Partner and their team, known for maintaining high standards and fostering a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
Role Details:
The firm is seeking a Trust & Estates Legal Assistant with at least five years of law firm experience, preferably supporting multiple attorneys in a sophisticated practice. This individual will support a team of attorneys and collaborate closely with paralegals in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities with efficiency and professionalism. This is a fully in-office role requiring business professional presence and a commitment to delivering top-tier administrative support.
This position requires strong judgment, creativity, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. The right candidate will be adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Job Duties:
Provide highly efficient administrative and secretarial support to a team of attorneys.
Assist attorneys with client service needs, including phone support, document production, time entry, and other administrative responsibilities.
Communicate effectively with attorneys and team members to manage workload and ensure timely completion of high-quality work.
Prepare internal documentation such as expense reports, vouchers, and administrative forms.
Coordinate meetings, manage calendars, arrange travel, reserve conference rooms, and anticipate logistical needs for meetings and events.
Prepare, edit, and process legal documents, including complex estate planning materials, redlines, and closing binders (both physical and electronic).
Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork by supporting additional staff and assisting with onboarding new personnel as needed.
Maintain knowledge of firm policies and administrative procedures while ensuring compliance with internal standards.
Qualifications & Technical Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of law firm experience required, supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (styles, track changes, document comparison), as well as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with Microsoft Teams or similar project management tools is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff.
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Familiarity with legal terminology and trust & estates practices preferred.
