Weekend Budtender - Cannabis Retail

Job Summary
This is a PART- TIME, on-site position based in Skaneateles, NY, for a Dispensary Retail Associate. Hours for this position are as follows:

Saturdays: 1pm-7:30pm(closing) and Sundays: 10am-6:30pm(closing)

Option for extra hours as needed/available.

The role involves checking IDs for validity, assisting customers with product selection, maintaining in-depth product knowledge, ensuring customer satisfaction, and delivering excellent customer service that aligns with our values.

As part of the retail team, responsibilities include managing inventory, restocking products, maintaining the store's appearance, checking for valid IDs before customers enter and handling transactions. The Dispensary Retail Associate will play a key role in creating a welcoming and informed shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Compliant Retail Sales and Product Knowledge, enabling candidates to assist customers effectively and answer product and industry-related questions.
• Proven experience in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with a focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations in a professional and friendly manner.
• Excellent Communication skills to engage with customers and team members, ensuring a positive and efficient retail environment.
• Experience in compliant cannabis or agriculture-related retail is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Experience

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass all background checks as required by NYS cannabis regulations.
• Proficiency in cash handling, communication, and organizational skills required.
• Critical thinking skills and ability to think on your feet, engage with customers in a friendly educational manner as needed.
• Retail experience preferred. Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus, but not required.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with customers from various backgrounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent
