Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient, friendly, and thoughtful service at all times.
• Execute service standards for presentation, delivery of food and beverage, and service based on training.
• Must be willing to participate in regular and ongoing training.
• Follow checklists and other guidelines for opening and closing duties.
• Clear and clean tables promptly after guest departure.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of and practice responsible alcohol service.
• Assist in food running.
• Communicate supply needs to appropriate management when running low.
• Pleasant and frequent interactions with guests to ensure food, beverage, and experience quality.
• Miscellaneous tasks include but are not limited to cleaning, sweeping and mopping floors, stocking product and supplies, removing trash and recycling from restaurant, restocking glassware, and rolling silverware.
• Maintain a clean and neat workspace, guest space, and ensure that the operation runs in a smooth and orderly fashion.
• Respond to any guest requests or issues by communicating with the appropriate staff.
• Recite basic knowledge about menus, menu items, and the resort itself.
• Assist in execution of special events hosted at the restaurant when requested.
• Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays.
• Perform additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by management at any time.

Qualifications & Knowledge:

• Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers Certification upon hire.
• Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire.
• Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant or guest service preferred.
• Working knowledge of the fundamentals of guest service.
• Is self-motivated and capable of working diligently without constant supervision.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and guests.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.

Work Environment:

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment.  Position may require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions. Wet surfaces may exist and sharp objects may be located throughout the work area.

Physical Demands of Position Include:

Will often lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally team lift up to 50 pounds. 90-100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting and smelling. 25-50% of the time may be spent climbing/balancing, being exposed to the outdoors including winter weather conditions. Occasionally sitting – less than 15% of the time.
