Position Summary: The Multimedia Designer is responsible for creating and implementing a wide variety of marketing content promoting Tank Connection’s products and brand. This position will develop graphic media for print, web, and digital marketing channels. Areas of focus will include video production, graphic design and layout, mobile or interactive media, social media, signage and vinyl production, technical writing, and print content. The position requires frequent contact with internal and external parties.
Multimedia Designer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop strong concepts and visual designs in support of Tank Connection’s marketing strategies.
- Video production including storyboarding and post production in Adobe video programs.
- Produce strong graphic artwork for various mediums including print and digital.
- Production of various types of large format vinyl design, printer production, and vinyl installation.
- Consistent creation of social media posts to expand online brand awareness.
- Provide a wide variety of visual content for in-house related projects, sales assets, external marketing materials, and branding.
- Scheduling projects, maintaining a flexible production schedule, project follow-up, content allocation, and meeting deadlines.
- Peer proofing, and project file preparation.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Multimedia Designer Skills and Specifications:
- Experience in video production and graphic design/layout.
- Strong graphic design and layout knowledge and skillsets.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and AfterEffects.
- Experience in complex applications of page layout and graphic design.
- Experience with social media integration such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Understanding of preflight, file preparation, and general printing operations.
- Understanding of electronic file creation and usage for online media.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge and skills of current technology trends and media platforms.
- Ability to be creative with design while meeting technical requirements for production.
- Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to effectively communicate complex information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and PDF software.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Able to work alone or with a team on a broad variety of projects.
- Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in the course of work.
- Ability to handle constructive criticism and make multiple revisions to a project.
- Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet job requirements.
Multimedia Designer Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, or related field.
- Two year’s experience in print and digital media production.
- Graphic Design background preferred.
Multimedia Designer Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of Multimedia Designer, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Multimedia Designer Work Environment:
While performing the duties of Multimedia Designer, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
