Boilermaker Duties And Responsibilities
Reading blueprints.
Casting pieces and bending them into shape.
Welding or bolting pieces together.
Test completed boilers.
Perform routine maintenance.
Ensure equipment is properly shut down and stored securely when not in
use.
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned
equipment.
Loan and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
Complete required paperwork, forms, and records as required.
Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others
to do the same. This includes wearing protective gear and maintaining
active communication with all other construction crew members.
Boilermaker Skills And Specifications
Coordinate machine actions with crew members in response to hand or
audio signals.
Ability to operate equipment effectively and within the equipments
operating capabilities to ensure deadlines of the job are met.
Maintains a good relationship with co-workers and works well with others
to accomplish a task.
Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task.
Ability to travel with crew in the course of work 90% of the time.
Boilermaker Education And Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Completed Boilermaker Apprenticeship Training.
Have a valid drivers license issued within the United States.
Must be able to pass site-specific background checks and drug screens.
