A medical services company in New York City is looking to add a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to their team in the Bronx.About the Opportunity:Start Date: ASAPAssignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire possibility)Schedule: Monday to Friday (alternating weekends)Hours: 3pm to 11pm (1-hr unpaid lunches)Responsibilities:The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for assisting with providing and implementing medical care and services for women with a history of chemical dependence, including:Collecting health historyMaking health assessmentPerforming annual physicalsAssisting with minor office proceduresCoordinating medical intake processExecuting medical regimens prescribed by licensed healthcare providers, treatment, referral, health counseling and follow up care and servicesQualifications:Graduation from an accredited Nursing programNYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in New York StateBasic Life Support (BLS) certificationNYS-approved Infection Control certificationKnowledge of Substance / Alcohol Dependence/ Abuse populationExperience in one of the following specialty areas, including Family Health, Women's Health, Holistic Care, etc.Training in Chemical Use, Abuse, and Dependence specific to the services providedDesired Skills:Bilingual (English and Spanish)
