Performs in specialty areas of systems, services, and/or applications. Performs unit-level support in multiple technical fields. Essential Duties/Tasks Resolution of Technical Problems Confers with other personnel in resolving problems involving procedural and technical matters. Provides assistance in resolving hardware and software problems with vendor technical support. Researches problems and recommends solutions. Workstation/Software Support Installs, upgrades, and configures workstations and software. Estimates and Reports Provides resource estimates and progress reports. Compliance Ensures that work is accurate and in compliance with departmental or project quality standards. Ensures compliance with applicable policies, rules, and procedures. Data Security Ensures security of customer data and applications in all phases of production. Common Duties Participates on committees to develop technical standards and direction. Meets with customers and technical staff to determine information technology needs and requirements. Provides input for the planning and budget process. Performs other duties as assigned. Professional Development Participates in training and professional development sessions. What you need to know Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four months (1 semester) of student worker and/or customer service experience. Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
