Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist/Healthcare Clinical Assistant to support our podiatry team in a hybrid concierge setting. Our practice specializes in advanced regenerative medicine, including LASER and Shockwave therapy and growth factor injections, alongside traditional podiatric services. With an on-site surgical suite for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS), we emphasize a holistic approach to patient education and care. As a small, patient-focused team, we strive to create a warm, safe, and relaxing environment for our patients. The ideal candidate will be someone who is happy, enthusiastic, interacts well with patients and other visitors, perform administrative tasks, assist with patient care and is willing to ensure a smooth workflow within the practice. Work schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8.15am-4.15pm (Wednesdays for Surgery cases only).
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Duties:
- Scheduling appointments (via phone, in person, or online)
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Managing patient records (updating, filing, and organizing) in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Handle patient intake forms and upload images and X-ray results to the EMR system.
- Respond to patient inquiries and assist with communication via social media and email
Patient Interaction:
- Greeting patients as they arrive
- Checking patients in and out
- Verifying insurance details and collecting co-pays
- Collecting payments for in-office items prescribed by Doctor
- Explaining forms and procedures
- Providing basic information about the practice
Clinical Duties:
- Room and prepare patients for treatment by taking medical histories and vital signs
- Clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments and equipment for procedures
- Educate patients on foot care, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment after each patient encounter
- Assist in the operating room (OR)
- Perform LASER and Shockwave therapy (training provided)
Other Common Tasks (not limited to):
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming front office
- Ensuring HIPAA compliance in all interactions
- Handling emergencies calmly and professionally
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferably some experience in a medical setting, though not necessary
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with patients and staff
- General knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and office practices
