Step onto our shop floor and you’ll be the guardian of quality—partnering closely with CNC machinists, translating blueprints into measurable realities, and ensuring every part that leaves our facility meets exacting standards.
A day in this role
Morning brings first-piece acceptance inspections right at the machine. You verify dimensions against drawings and GD&T, coach operators on findings, and clear the job to run. As parts flow, you perform in-process checks to keep quality on track. When batches complete, you own final inspection: document results, assemble customer-required paperwork, and prepare comprehensive inspection packages so shipments move without delay.
What you’ll do
- Perform first piece acceptance inspections on the shop floor to support CNC manufacturing operations.
- Conduct in-process inspections as needed to maintain conformance throughout production.
- Complete final inspection and prepare all documentation packages for finished parts prior to shipment.
- Handle other quality-related tasks as assigned.
What you bring
- At least 3 years of experience in a job shop environment.
- Background in fast-paced manufacturing inspecting machined components using standard instruments (micrometers, height gages, indicators, etc.).
- Strong time management: ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T.
- Ability to interpret customer paperwork and complete final inspection documents required for shipment.
- Knowledge of trigonometry is a plus.
- Working knowledge of gage calibration systems is a plus.
