What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Tallgrass Apartments?
Tallgrass Apartments in Mount Pleasant, Michigan is looking for a full-time experienced Maintenance Technician for a residential apartment complex with 290 units. We are looking for a candidate that enjoys working with people, is extremely organized, and has the ability to work independently and manage their time. Work schedule is Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm with shared on call emergencies with other personnel.
Job Duties Include:
- Knowledge of basic residential repairs
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting
- Experience with diagnosing and making appliance repairs
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and equipment
- Available for emergency on-call
- Must have own basic tools and dependable transportation
- Grounds Maintenance to include shrub trimming, weeding, and overall cleanup of property
- All other duties as assigned
Required Work Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent certification
- 5-10 years experience in maintenance or related field required
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Familiarity with residential leasing preferred
