OPS Peer Leader Advisor/Administrative Assistant Opportunity
Tallahassee State College is excited to announce a part-time opening for the position of OPS Peer Leader Advisor/Administrative Assistant in Student Life. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.
What You’ll Do
As OPS Peer Leader/Administrative Assistant, the day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Oversee the Peer Leader Program, including scholarship awarding, keeping track of hours, helping to plan professional and leadership development opportunities for the cohort, and recruiting for incoming Peer Leader cohorts. Ensure effective communication and coordination with Peer Leaders and program participants.
Planning and execution of events: assisting Student Life with the planning and execution of events, including StuFacs, Convocations, and Commencements. Provide logistical support, including setup, management, and breakdown of event activities.
Assist with shopping for and ordering office supplies, event materials, and other necessary items. Assist to monitor the general Student Life email. Perform other administrative tasks and duties as assigned.
Work schedule is a maximum of 25 hours per week, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8am – 5pm.

We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in administrative support, event coordination, or program management is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills, communication, interpersonal skills, proficiency in office software and basic inventory management, detail-oriented.
