Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate patient care activities, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV infusions and tube feeding, while monitoring patient responses.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide critical care and support to patients with diverse needs.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Proficiency in EMR and EHR systems, particularly Epic and Cerner
• Strong patient care and assessment skills, including catheterization and tube feeding
• Experience in critical care, long-term care, and assisted living environments
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities

Summary

As a Charge Nurse, you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring adherence to care plans in a dynamic healthcare setting. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will utilize your core skills in patient assessment, catheterization, and EHR systems to monitor and support patients effectively. Your expertise in basic life support and HIPAA compliance will be essential in maintaining patient safety and confidentiality. With additional experience in assisted living and tube feeding, you will lead a team in providing compassionate care and fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff.
