Job Title: Maintenance Technician II (day/swing shift)
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Shift Supervisor
Summary
Performs general maintenance duties, as assigned and/or depending on experience/competence, under guidance of preventive maintenance and work orders. Occasionally, oversees and mentors the activities of a Maintenance Laborer.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Other duties may be assigned.
Must possess a High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have a valid Arizona Drivers license and must meet MVR requirements to be authorized to operate a company vehicle. 2 to 5years work experience in at least 1 trade required; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificate or vocational education diploma preferred.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to work harmoniously with co-workers and develop teamwork. Must present a well-groomed appearance.
Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

- Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
- Documents and keeps records of assigned maintenance functions.
- Adheres to all company safety policies, procedures and responsibilities concerning accident prevention including reporting any safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.
- Performs maintenance and repairs on major system breakdowns, diagnosing problem(s).
- Performs preventive maintenance to keep locks and locking devices in functional and safe operating condition.
- Installs and/or repairs carpet and vinyl flooring.
- Repairs, replaces and performs preventive maintenance on all motors, panels and electrical equipment.
- Replaces burned out light bulbs, checks electrical circuits, repairs dimmers, refrigeration controls and contacts.
- Responsible for all preparation necessary to ensure proper application of paints, varnishes, sealers and rust-proofing.
- Repairs furniture, doors, windows, slot machine stands, gambling tables and millwork.
- Fabricates office partitions, doors, counters, panel walls, and ceilings.
- Installs, connects, and tests sanitary plumbing fixtures, fire sprinklers, hydraulics, refrigeration, various gas, steam and other pressure systems.
- Handles regular preventive maintenance of all HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Operates Energy Management systems.
- Ensures safe, efficient operation of all equipment relevant to boilers, chillers, pumps, life safety equipment, air handlers and emergency generators.
- Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all industrial kitchen equipment.
