We are hiring a Principal or Director to build and scale our Legal Practice in New York. This is a senior, revenue-generating role suited to an experienced legal recruiter with an established network, strong business development capability, and clear sector credibility.
The role sits at the intersection of legal talent and real asset investing, supporting clients operating in regulated, capital-intensive, and transaction-driven environments.
The Role
This position operates as a true 360 consultant role, with responsibility for originating, winning, and delivering retained and contingent legal search mandates.
You will play a central role in building out Talisman’s legal capability, with a particular focus on in-house legal hiring across energy and infrastructure platforms, where legal teams are critical to enabling investment, development, financing, and asset operations.
Typical mandates will include:
- AGC / DGC hires supporting platform build-outs and geographic expansion
- Senior Counsel hires across project finance, M&A, regulatory, and commercial functions
- Legal team builds within PE-backed developers, IPPs, infrastructure funds, and portfolio companies
- Strategic hires aligned to energy transition, grid modernization, and large-scale capital deployment
