POSITION: Legal Recruiting Coordinator
LOCATION: New York, NY
HOURS: M-F, 9:30-5:30 OT: As needed with peak season being May through July (Summer Program/OCI) and January/February
HYBRID: 3 days a week in-office/ 2 days remote
COMPENSATION:$68,300 - $87,000, Non-exempt
Legal Recruiting Coordinator | Global Law Firm| NY, NY Our prestigious and globally recognized AM LAW 50 law firm client is hiring an experienced Legal Recruiting Coordinator in their NY City office. The coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Senior Legal Recruiting Manager with the planning and execution of the summer associate program and executing the firm’s 1L, 2L and 3L recruiting strategies, including law school engagement initiatives for the New York office. The coordinator will need to be very well-rounded and familiar with summer programing, being comfortable with event planning. Ideally, this person will be able to hit the ground running as the Summer Program is right around the corner. The coordinator will be handling law school callback interviews, which are high volume, and will require someone to quickly learn how to solve problems when cancellations arise. The coordinator will assist with law school engagement efforts, assist with law school organization staffing events and panels.Our client firm is offering a highly competitive salary, bonus and benefit package
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide general support to the Senior Legal Recruiting Manager
- Assist in coordinating and planning all aspects of the summer associate program (events, trainings, work assignments, reviews etc.)
- Help maintain accurate records for the summer program
- Assist with summer associate onboarding and orientation as necessary
- Attend summer associate program events as required
- Coordinate summer associate mid- and end-of-summer reviews
- Coordinate 1L events and sponsorship opportunities as needed
- Serve as a firm ambassador
- Coordinate 1L and 2L recruiting materials and processing of applications and callback decisions
- Schedule a portion of law student callback interviews as needed
- Coordinate hiring meeting materials and assist with follow-up efforts
- Maintain LawCruit database with accurate and complete records
- Assist with Fall Associate onboarding and orientation as necessary
- Conduct office tours for candidates, summer associates and fall associates
- Must be willing to work overtime as requested, especially during the busy recruiting season and summer program
- Work collaboratively and across the team and other departments of the firm
- Perform other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates
REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Three years of legal recruiting experience
- Possesses superior organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines; excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently and be proactive
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred:
- Law firm or professional services experience
