Overview

Talento has partnered with a global leader in digital entertainment seeking a Director of Subscription Video & Fan Strategy to architect the long-term evolution of their premium service models. This leader will define the vision and operational rhythm for how the brand acquires, engages, and retains a massive global audience through world-class membership experiences. Reporting to the VP of Strategy within the COO organization, you will manage the roadmap that guides the business’s primary subscription lines.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Architecture: Spearhead annual and quarterly operating rhythms for SVOD and Membership, ensuring total alignment between financial performance, resource planning, and strategic goals.
• Growth Roadmapping: Lead the development of multi-year strategic growth plans, synthesizing global and regional data into actionable opportunities for the COO organization and Finance.
• Analytical Deep Dives: Conduct rigorous evaluations of market performance, subscriber behavior, and unit-economic models to guide tradeoff decisions and leadership transitions.
• Innovation & "Big Bets": Identify transformational 5-10 year platform innovations and partnership models to secure long-term market leadership.
• Benefit Design: Evolve the global tiering structure and benefit architecture to deepen emotional connections with fans and enhance value differentiation.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner across flywheel business lines—including e-commerce, games, licensing, and digital manga—to ensure a unified fan ecosystem.
• Competitive Intelligence: Monitor global industry shifts and product innovations to inform long-range planning and regionalization frameworks.

Requirements

• Experience: 12 years of experience in corporate strategy or strategy consulting at a technology or media firm.
• Leadership: 5 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a recognized institution preferred.
• Technical & Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical capabilities and experience presenting complex strategies to C-level stakeholders.
• Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity and able to pivot quickly as strategies and priorities evolve.
• Domain Expertise: Prior experience in digital retail, subscription services, advertising, or e-commerce.
• EQ: Excellent interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and empathy.
