Talento Search Group has an opening for a Maintenance Technician in Chicago, Illinois. The pay rate for this position is about $34 per hour.
Position Details:
The Maintenance Technician keeps production and processing activities running by using skill-sets of a mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure production equipment is ready to use
- Perform various maintenance tasks including repairs, fabrication, modifications, and preventive maintenance
- Answer calls to work on down production lines
- Clean equipment while performing maintenance
- Inventory and order parts as needed
- Perform work tasks as handed down from maintenance manager
- Use wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, wire cutters, power drills, and other hand tools
- Occasionally use pallet jacks and forklifts as needed
Experience Needed:
- At least 3 years of recent industrial maintenance experience
- Technical degree or certifications in industrial maintenance or mechanics is preferred
- Experience with mechanical repairs including gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, conveyors, pumps, and pneumatics
- Electrical experience including motors, PLC troubleshooting, and 3 phase electrical
