Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: North Vernon, IN

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $80,000–$85,000 annually Straight-Time OT after 45 hours

Shift: Off-shift (flexible). Options may include crossover between 2nd & 3rd shift such as 2:00 AM–10:00 AM or 9:00/10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Training: Initial training on 1st shift.

Must-Have Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of industrial maintenance processes and ability to prioritize equipment response times.
• 8 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatics.
• 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Metal industry or metal-processing equipment experience (highly preferred).
• Ability to work across multiple shifts.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and compliant maintenance environment by following company policies, standards, and legal regulations.
• Supervise maintenance staff, including: hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and performance management.
• Clearly communicate job expectations and monitor employee performance to ensure maintenance standards are met.
• Lead maintenance activities by assigning tasks, supporting employees, and resolving equipment and operational issues.
• Work cross-functionally to meet cost targets through efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
• Oversee shift operations by reviewing reports from the previous shift, allocating resources, and supporting the operational plan.
• Monitor ongoing maintenance services, adjust resource needs, and resolve real-time challenges.
• Complete and maintain accurate maintenance documentation including logs, reports, and records.
• Support overall organizational success by responding to new requests, assisting colleagues, and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
