Responsibilities:
- Acquire new strategic and referral partners and close Junior Debt facilities ranging from $100k to $3m .
- Identify and forge new partnerships and alliances through networking, events, research, and creative outreach strategies.
- Manage inbound partnership requests, conduct qualifications and due diligence to ensure alignment.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to strengthen brand presence and reach.
- Maintain and expand existing relationships across the partner network.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to evolve capital product offerings and business processes.
- Coordinate with underwriting, marketing, and customer success teams to execute strategic business initiatives.
Must-Have Skills:
- 3 years of experience in sales or business development, ideally in financial services or commercial lending.
- Demonstrated track record in self-generating and closing transactions (“hunter” mentality).
- Strong financial literacy and ability to interpret and leverage financial statements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and listening skills.
- Ability to build relationships remotely via phone, email, and video conferencing platforms.
- High sense of urgency and a partner-first mindset.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities without direct supervision.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Established network of referral partners in the financial services sector.
- Prior experience with commercial lending products and capital markets.
- Demonstrated humility and a collaborative spirit to foster team success.
- Willingness to travel to market and sales meetings (15-30%).
