About the Engineering Company / The Opportunity:
Our client, a technology-driven Robotics pioneer is seeking a Backend Python Engineer to design and scale robust backend infrastructure for high-performance applications. Specifically, we are building an Ai layer on top of CAD/CAM to revolutionize the Manufacturing industry. This is an onsite opportunity in San Francisco where you will help shape system architecture for complex workflows and be part of an engineering-driven, collaborative culture. The role offers hands-on development with advanced technology, and the chance to make a significant impact on the company’s backend systems and engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize backend systems utilizing Python for production environments.
- Develop and maintain scalable APIs and backend services supporting core application functionality.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to overall system architecture, performance tuning, and code quality initiatives.
- Support deployment processes, including those involving on-premise infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues throughout the backend stack.
- Integrate modern development practices including testing, CI/CD, and version control.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience with Python in production software engineering.
- Hands-on expertise building and scaling backend systems and APIs.
- Strong understanding of system design, distributed computing, and backend optimization.
- Familiarity with development tools and practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and version control.
- Ability to work effectively onsite in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with 3D systems, CAD environments, or computational geometry.
- Knowledge of ray casting, geometric processing, or spatial algorithms.
- Background supporting or deploying solutions in on-premise environments.
