This is a pivotal opportunity for a strategic production planning professional to support manufacturing operations with robust reporting, planning, and analytics. You will act as a vital link between plant operations and corporate stakeholders, influencing business decisions and contributing to the success of large-scale, high-quality manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Consolidate cross-functional operational, financial, and planning data into standardized reports to support business planning cycles.
- Coordinate closely with Production Management, Engineering, Accounting, Supply Chain, and corporate headquarters to ensure accurate KPI reporting, capacity planning, and budgeting.
- Prepare standard cost analyses and support investment documentation, including submissions for global headquarter approvals.
- Manage data collection, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accurate tracking of production, inventory, utilization, and costs.
- Develop and maintain forecasting tools for monthly, annual, and medium-term planning needs.
- Support energy and decarbonization reporting in accordance with corporate sustainability initiatives.
- Translate multi-source data into clear, executive-ready communications for corporate and plant leadership.
- Uphold rigorous reporting cycles and documentation standards to ensure timely and accurate information delivery.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in production control, operations planning, supply chain analytics, cost coordination, or manufacturing reporting (preferably in tire/automotive manufacturing).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and Power Query; strong skills in data validation and reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and standard manufacturing metrics (capacity, utilization, inventory, standard cost).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities for high-impact reporting.
- Keen attention to detail, strong documentation habits, and deadline discipline.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English.
- Experience in tire or automotive manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with decarbonization and energy reporting in manufacturing.
- Advanced skills in dashboard creation or data visualization tools.
- Background in supporting investment approval processes and global corporate submissions.
