This is a hands-on opportunity for a certified Fire Alarm Technician to make a direct impact through code-compliant installation, maintenance, and emergency support while working with a variety of system types and building applications.
Responsibilities:
- Install and upgrade fire alarm systems in commercial and residential properties.
- Test, repair, and maintain fire alarm and detection systems in compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure proper installation and code adherence (NFPA 70, NFPA 72).
- Accurately complete inspection reports and documentation of identified issues or repairs.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system malfunctions.
- Coordinate with building managers, contractors, and project teams on site requirements.
- Stay current with technology, standards, and best practices in fire alarm systems.
Must-Have Skills:
- Active NICET Level I, II, or III certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
- Demonstrated experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code).
- Ability to perform detailed inspections and complete required documentation.
- Proficient in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with fire alarm systems in healthcare, retail/mixed-use, or educational environments.
