Responsibilities:
- Oversee each stage of litigation, including shaping overall strategy, managing discovery efforts, preparing and reviewing motions, and coordinating with outside counsel.
- Handle pre-litigation matters, including mediations and arbitration proceedings, to secure positive resolutions for the company.
- Create and improve internal workflows, guidelines, and resources to make litigation management more efficient.
- Provide guidance to teams across the organization on a wide range of regulatory and compliance matters at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Perform comprehensive legal analysis and research.
- Track and assess new laws, regulations, and policy changes that may impact the business.
Must-Have Skills:
- Juris Doctor degree from a top law school.
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state (NY is a plus).
- 5-10 years of litigation experience.
- Previous work as a federal prosecutor or in-house counsel within the technology sector.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in the technology/software industry.
- Background in employment or labor laws.
