Job Title: Group Sales Manager

Location: Remote – must currently be based in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, or Northwest Arkansas (Fayetteville/Bentonville/Rogers), with travel as needed to the resort

Salary: $55,000–$65,000 20% bonus membership commission

The Opportunity:

A premier lakeside resort with championship golf, a full-service marina, spa, and conference space, is hiring a Group Sales Manager to bring in new business from key regional markets. The resort has strong untapped potential in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and Northwest Arkansas, and this role exists to capture it. It's a fit for a hunter who wants to own a territory, open new accounts, and see the direct impact of the business they book.

You'll work remotely from your home market and visit the resort weekly for site inspections, client meetings, and time with the on-property team. When the opportunity is there, you can also sell resort memberships in your market for additional commission.

Responsibilities:

• Prospect and secure new group, corporate, incentive, and association business from your home market and the surrounding region.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline that supports short- and long-term revenue goals.
• Achieve assigned sales goals, revenue targets, and prospecting activity objectives.
• Host site inspections, resort tours, and client presentations during weekly property visits.
• Negotiate and contract group business in line with pricing strategies.
• Grow repeat business by building lasting relationships with existing accounts.
• Stay visible in the local business community through networking, industry associations, sales blitzes, and trade shows.
• Sell resort and corporate memberships to qualified prospects in your market.
• Partner with the Director of Sales and with operations, catering, and reservations to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Track market trends and competitor activity, maintain accurate account records, and contribute to forecasts and sales reports.

Must-Have Skills:

• 2 years of hotel or resort sales experience, with a focus on group and corporate segments.
• A proven record of prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing new business.
• The self-motivation and discipline to succeed in a remote, territory-based role.
• Strong relationship-building, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Current residence in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, or Northwest Arkansas, with reliable transportation for weekly travel to the resort.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Independent resort sales experience (branded experience is also welcome).
• Experience with hotel sales and catering systems (such as Delphi or Versa) and group lead-generation tools (such as Knowland).
• Membership, golf, or private club sales experience.
• A bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or a related field.
