Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial planning, analysis, and modeling for multiple lines of business including brokerage, construction, communities, and energy platforms.
- Lead the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all entities, ensuring transparent audit trails.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, general ledger maintenance, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and alignment with long-term company growth objectives.
- Serve as the key contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to facilitate audits, tax filings, and financing activities.
- Direct payroll and compensation administration for employees and independent contractors.
- Lead HR strategy including benefits management, compliance with labor laws, onboarding/offboarding, and policy development.
- Support performance management processes and drive company culture across business lines with over 50 employees.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or human resources.
- Hands-on experience in real estate or property management accounting and finance functions.
- Expertise in HR administration, benefits programs, and payroll systems management.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and understanding of employment law/compliance.
- Effective communicator with cross-departmental collaboration skills and attention to detail in financial and HR processes.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- CPA, CMA, SHRM or PHR certification.
- Experience with property management or HRIS software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio).
- Ability to connect financial decisions with employee well-being and retention.
- Demonstrated skill in aligning cash management strategies with broader business objectives.
- Proactive mindset with a strong work ethic and a commitment to fostering a positive team culture.
