Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, covering labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and documentation to create comprehensive bid packages.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing for project bids.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs to assess project requirements.
- Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure a seamless handoff from estimating to execution phases.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, material pricing, and labor trends.
Must-Have Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical estimating for construction projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Prior experience with large-scale projects such as data centers, industrial facilities, hospitals, or laboratories.
- Familiarity with value engineering techniques and cost-saving strategies.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional project teams.
