Responsibilities:
- Develop and advance policy and regulatory priorities across a multi-state footprint.
- Partner with external advocates and advisors to support the drafting of legislative and regulatory initiatives.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry stakeholders and external partners to support coordinated policy efforts.
- Track, interpret, and summarize legislative and regulatory developments at the state and federal levels.
- Advise internal teams on legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage responses to inquiries from regulatory bodies.
- Manage external counsel.
- Provide guidance on evolving regulatory frameworks and industry trends impacting healthcare and technology sectors.
Must-Have Skills:
- Juris Doctor (JD) with active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
- 4 years of experience in government relations roles.
- Direct experience working within state or federal government environments.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with elected officials, agency personnel, and regulatory bodies.
- Strong ability to analyze public policy information, legislative data, and regulatory materials to inform business strategy.
- Open to travel (about two times per month)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience advising on employment law.
- Experience preparing legislative and regulatory proposals, including measures that have been enacted or implemented.
Salary : $180,000 - $230,000
