As an Audio Visual Technician, you will take ownership of installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities while working with leading AV technologies. Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform the installation of commercial audio visual systems.
- Install, terminate, label, and test AV cabling and equipment.
- Configure displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, DSPs, control systems, conferencing systems, and related equipment.
- Work with Crestron control systems, Biamp DSP, Shure microphones, and other professional AV technologies.
- Read and interpret AV drawings, schematics, floor plans, and system documentation.
- Perform system setup, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Identify and resolve installation, signal-flow, networking, audio, video, and system-performance issues.
- Lead junior technicians, coordinate with project teams, maintain organized job sites, and complete project documentation and closeout activities.
Must-Have Skills:
- Three or more years of commercial AV installation or integration experience preferred.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of professional AV systems and installation practices.
- Experience with commercial conference room AV systems.
- Ability to read AV drawings, schematics, floor plans, and construction documents.
- Ability to troubleshoot audio, video, control, networking, and signal-flow issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while leading and collaborating with a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Crestron control systems.
- Experience with Biamp DSP platforms.
- Experience with Shure microphones and professional audio equipment.
- Knowledge of commercial AV control systems and digital signal processing.
- Experience with AV-over-IP and networked AV systems.
- CTS or CTS-I certification.
- Experience working in corporate, government, or other commercial environments.
