Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a Med Surg unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in health status
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Promote a safe and therapeutic care environment
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Experience in Medical Surgical nursing or acute care setting
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts consistently
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Certifications such as BLS, ACLS (as required by facility)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient needs
