Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit

Education & Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: Required
- Cardiovascular or cardiac surgical intensive care nursing experience: Required
- Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
- Provide post-operative critical care to cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgical patients.
- Perform complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring and interpret results to guide treatment.
- Administer and titrate vasoactive and antiarrhythmic infusions per protocol.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and intervene promptly in the event of arrhythmia or instability.
- Manage chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilated patients and other post-surgical devices.
- Collaborate with the cardiovascular surgical team and support patients transitioning to step-down care.
