Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- 1–2 years of Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience preferred.
- Experience with surgical procedures and perioperative patient care is preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred or required based on facility requirements.
- CNOR certification preferred.
- Assess and prepare patients for surgical procedures and verify required documentation and safety checks.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures and provide appropriate nursing support.
- Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and response to medications or procedures.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments safely.
- Maintain appropriate aseptic and infection control practices throughout the surgical process.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Complete accurate documentation and ensure proper patient handoff and post-operative care.
