What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Accountant position at TalentCraft?
Job Description:
- Interpret R&D contracts and determine appropriate accrual schedules and/or models
- Update clinical site accrual models based on current patient enrollment data and latest site budgets
- Analyze, review, and examine R&D related invoices and related support to populate R&D accrual accordingly
- Ensure monthly R&D accrual schedule is complete and ready for manager review
- Work closely with accounting on month end and quarter end close processes, including but not limit to accruals, reporting and reconciliations, etc.
- Prepare complex journal entries on monthly/quarterly basis
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and vendors to ensure accuracy and accrual completeness
- Support both external quarterly and annual audits
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
- Assist in process improvements and system implementations as needed
- Support ad hoc projects as needed
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in a relevant senior accounting role at a publicly traded company
- Solid experience in at least 2 ERP systems. i.e. SAP, Oracle, Intacct, QAD, Mas90, Macola, Netsuite etc. -- Note: Quickbooks will not be considered.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience and understanding of SOX 404B compliance requirements
- Must have experience handling GL, Month End Close, Accruals, Reconciliations.
- High attention to details as this role works within the R&D space which is very high risk
- Strong communication skills
Salary : $60 - $75
