Position Title: Licensed Behavioral Health Professional

Length of assignment: 13 weeks

Shift: Start Time: 08:30 AM End Time: 05:00 PM

Minimum guarantee: 40

Location: Cocoa, FL

Job Summary:

• Provides evidence-based behavioral health services as a member of the multidisciplinary clinical team.

Job Duties:

1. Performs individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.

2. Conducts psychosocial assessments and mental health intake evaluations as indicated.

3. Performs risk assessment and intervention,

4. Provides behavioral health consultation to members of the multi-disciplinary clinical team and to

correctional personnel as directed.

5. Performs crisis intervention and de-escalation as indicated.

6. Supports and/or direct care coordination efforts for patients returning to the community requiring

ongoing behavioral health services.

1. Initiates, completes, and maintains patient treatment plans.

2. Participate in team meetings.

3. Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct

special projects as requested.

4. Participates in and conducts in-service training programs, as well as assists in the orientation of new

staff.

5. Provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.

6. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

7. Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in social work, Counseling Psychology or Other Related Mental Health discipline.

2. Unrestricted, current license in the state of practice - LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, or Psychologist. Must

maintain all licensures, certifications, continuing educational requirements, etc.

3. Counseling experience in a correctional setting preferred.

4. BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification

Work Environment:

• Correctional officers provide security; however, some degree of risk of verbal and physical assault from inmates exists.

• As in any healthcare setting, employees may be exposed to communicable and/or infectious diseases.

• Inside work with periodic traveling (inter and intra state) to other locations with exposure to weather, temperature extremes and hazardous road conditions.

• Frequent standing and walking while presenting or performing job duties.

• Because patients need round-the-clock care, working hours include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call.

• Rotating shifts, weekends as well as holidays and work during inclement weather will be required.

• Adheres to site/contract specific regarding on-call requirements and mandated schedules/overtime. Team members may be mandated to work shifts and/or overtime due to site/staffing or emergencies.

• Essential staff is defined as healthcare and behavioral professionals that may be required or mandated to work due to site/staffing or emergencies (natural disaster, inclement weather, or other situations)
