Staff Accountant
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 remote)
Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday in-office one additional day (team typically onsite Wednesdays)
Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000 base bonus
Employment Type: Direct Hire
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a collaborative and high-performing accounting team supporting a leading manufacturer in the building materials industry. Key Responsibilities- Support the month-end close process (approximately 2.5-day close cycle)
- Prepare and post journal entries (JEs)
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve variances
- Assist with financial reporting and internal analysis
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data within ERP systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, tax, and finance teams
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1-2 years of accounting experience (corporate accounting preferred)
- Exposure to month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred; OneStream a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, data formatting)
- Adaptable mindset with interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
