Electrical Controls Engineer
Location: Starkville, MS
TalentBridge is supporting a well-established manufacturing company in the search for an Electrical Engineer II to join its engineering team at a manufacturing facility in Starkville, MS.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on PLC programming, machine controls, electrical troubleshooting, control system design, and commissioning. The engineer will work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions with machine control systems
- Develop and modify PLC and HMI applications
- Program and troubleshoot ladder logic
- Work with Siemens and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Support setup and commissioning of new systems and equipment upgrades
- Design, develop, maintain, and modify instrumentation and control systems
- Perform start-to-finish electrical control system hardware design, including control panels and field wiring
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and quality
- Work independently while collaborating with production, maintenance, and engineering teams
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 3 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with Siemens and/or Rockwell/Allen-Bradley
- Experience with control panels, field wiring, instrumentation, and machine controls
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
