Position: HR Specialist
Contract Term: 3-month contract (temp-to-hire) with possible extension based on the needs of the business
Location: Orange, CA (On-Site)
Position Overview
Talent Xpanse is partnering with a dynamic, multi-site organization to engage a Contract HR Specialist who will operate as a high-impact, hands-on HR partner at the site level.
This role is grounded in employee relations documentation support and hands operational execution. A successful candidate will serve as a point of contact and support Human Resources Business Partner to track and resolve issues, ensuring that employee concerns are addressed with speed, consistency, and compliance. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is required.
Core Impact Areas:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Support full-cycle recruiting for hourly and non-exempt positions, from screening through onboarding, other support tasks
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver a high-quality candidate experience.
- Coordinate interviews, offers, pre-employment processes, and new hire onboarding.
Operations
- Support day-to-day HR operations across hourly and non-exempt employee populations
- Address trends in attendance, performance, and workplace dynamics with proactive solutions
- Audit-ready documentation with minimal risk exposure
- Maintain high standards of documentation discipline across all employee interactions
- Ensure adherence to state and federal labor laws, company policies, and internal protocols
- Identify gaps in documentation practices and implement process improvements for consistency and accuracy
- Support compliance
- Support the full HR function including benefits
Serve as advisor to supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance management, and corrective action
- Support proper documentation, communication, and escalation practices
- Support the execution of corrective actions, performance conversations, and employee development efforts
Employee Relations & Risk Mitigation
- Respond and support employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns
- Conduct thorough, compliant documentation of all ER activity, ensuring audit-ready records
- Partner with leadership to assess risk, determine appropriate action, and escalate when necessary
- Drive consistent application of policies

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on recruiting, and general HR Specialist support
- Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or similar operational environments preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while staying aligned with broader HR functions
- Strong understanding of compliance, investigations, and risk mitigation practices
- Effective communicator with the ability, influence, and build trust across all levels
- Highly organized with a methodical, detail-oriented approach to documentation
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
Compensation:
The projected hourly consultant rate is $30.00 per hour.
