Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Grandville, MI
Shift: 1st Shift (6:30 AM - 4 PM)
Pay: $19-21 (Based on experience)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will set up, operate, and maintain light-metal fabrication equipment while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Set up and operate a variety of fabrication and machining equipment, including drill presses, radial drills, automatic cut-off saws, ironworker, milling machines, lathes, shapers, turret punch press, plasma torch table, brake press, and moving material using overhead cranes.
- Interpret and follow simple detail and assembly prints to ensure accurate machine setup and part production.
- Monitor production cycles, replenish raw materials, perform minor troubleshooting, and ensure consistent quality.
- Perform routine maintenance—cleaning, lubrication, and minor adjustments—to keep equipment in proper working order.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and compliance with company/OSHA standards.
What You Need:
- Previous experience operating machining or light-metal fabrication equipment (e.g., drill presses, lathes, press brakes, saws).
- Ability to read and interpret basic prints, blueprints, or assembly diagrams.
- Comfortable handling overhead cranes and moving heavy materials.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform routine maintenance.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Familiarity with safety standards and good housekeeping practices in manufacturing.
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment..
