Waterjet Operator

Full-Time | 1st Shift (7:30am-4pm Monday-Friday)

Pay: $18/hr

Position Summary

The Waterjet Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC waterjet cutting equipment to produce accurate, high-quality parts. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC waterjet machines to cut metal, plastic, stone, or composite materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and CAD files to determine cutting requirements.
• Load materials, secure fixtures, and monitor cutting operations to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and measuring tools to verify specifications.
• Adjust machine parameters to optimize cut quality and cycle times.
• Perform routine maintenance such as nozzle changes, cleaning tanks, and replacing consumables.
• Troubleshoot machine and process issues and communicate concerns to maintenance or supervision.
• Accurately document production data and follow standard operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with OSHA and company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC waterjet equipment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC controls.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
