Registered Nurse/Operating Room

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced in Scrubbing and ENT
• BLS Certification
• Experience with EPIC and SBAR systems
  
  

Required Skills

• Ambulatory OR experience
• ENT skills: Endoscopic sinus procedures, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Laryngectomy, Mastoidectomy, Radical neck dissection, Septoplasty, Tonsillectomy, Tracheostomy
• Pediatric ENT skills: Myringotomy with tubes, Tonsillectomy
• Emergency management: Code Response, Fire Safety, Latex Allergy, Malignant Hyperthermia
• Specimen handling and Universal Protocol
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Pediatric General OR experience
• Endoscopic Procedures: Bronchoscopy
• Ophthalmology: Cataract extraction, Corneal transplant, Eye trauma, Glaucoma surgery, Vitrectomy
• Infection control and Laser Safety
  
  

Job Details

• Shift: 8-hour days, 07:00 - 16:00
• 40 hours per week, 13-week contract
• No call, float, or weekend requirements
• Patient Age Group: Infants to Geriatrics
• Patient Diagnoses: ENT surgery, cataracts, ocular plastics, head and neck
• Unit Orientation: 40 hours
