Client Advocate II

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree OR
• 4 years of job-related work experience OR
• 2 years of job-related experience plus an Associate's Degree (any major)
  
  

Required Work Experience

• 5 years of IT-related experience, including:
• Client relationship management
• I/S marketing or client-facing IT support
• Process and/or product improvement
• Customer / relationship management experience is mandatory
  
  

Required Skills & Technologies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office:
• Word
• Excel
• PowerPoint
• Health insurance industry knowledge is a plus
• Familiarity with collaborative / Agile environments
  
  

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact supporting internal and external customer business needs
• Act as a liaison between clients and the I/S organization
• Provide business direction to:
• Systems teams
• Programming and delivery teams
• Monitor I/S costs charged to clients:
• Ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness
• Facilitate clear communication with clients regarding costs
• Support clients during production issues and service disruptions

• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations with flexibility
• Open to feedback from peers and leadership
• Clear verbal and written communication skills

Not Looking For

• Sales profiles focused on commissions or incentives
• Candidates with pure programming or development backgrounds
• Individuals unfamiliar with Agile practices (e.g., stand-ups, status updates)
• Candidates without any customer or relationship management experience
  
  

Team Environment

• Small, collaborative team consisting of two Client Advocates
• Works closely across:
• Application Development
• Project Management
• Quality Management
• Estimating
• Responsible for:
• Gathering and documenting business requirements
• Converting requirements into high-level estimates and projects
• Ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget
• Strong partnership with internal customers to ensure clarity, alignment, and execution
