Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an Editor, Technical for a contract position in Columbia, SC. The opportunity will be 12 months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Review, edit, and develop proposal response content for:
- RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, task orders
- Federal, state, and commercial solicitations
- Work on:
- Cover letters
- Resumes
- Past performance
- Technical & business volumes
- Ensure compliance with:
- CDS Writing Style Guide
- Corporate standards
- Solicitation requirements
- Validate:
- Technical terminology
- Organizational names & acronyms
- Own the technical editing process:
- Ensure content is clear, complete, compliant, and customer-focused
- Identify:
- Gaps, risks, and content weaknesses
- Recommend:
- Strategic improvements to enhance proposal quality
- Collaborate with:
- Senior leadership
- Cross-functional teams
- SMEs (Subject Matter Experts)
- Maintain and update:
- Proposal content in SharePoint
- Organizational charts & branding materials
- Ensure all materials align with:
- Corporate branding standards
- Provide senior-level editorial guidance
- Ensure content is:
- Concise
- Compelling
- Customer-centric
- Act as a liaison between:
- Technical teams
- Operations
- Contracts teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor''s degree in:
- Computer Technology, English, Journalism, or related field
- OR
- 4 years of relevant work experience
- OR
- 2 years of relevant experience with an Associate''s degree in:
- Computer Science, IT, English, Journalism, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in:
- Technical writing
- Technical process standards development
- Advanced skills in:
- MS Word
- MS PowerPoint
- Visible Thread
- SharePoint
- Beyond Compare Pro
- Experienced Technical Writer / Proposal Writer
- Strong background in government or commercial proposals
- Expert in editing, compliance, and content structuring
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and leadership
