Technical Editor (Onsite)

We’re looking for a Technical Editor for an onsite role in Columbia, SC.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance, which requires a thorough background screening and U.S. citizenship
• 5 years of technical writing and/or technical process standards development experience
• High-level skills with Word, PowerPoint, Visible Thread, SharePoint, and Beyond Compare Pro
• Intermediate skills with MS Outlook, Teams, Excel, Project, and Visio

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, edit, and develop proposal response content for federal, state, and commercial solicitations, including cover letters, resumes, past performance, and technical and business volumes
• Ensure all content complies with the writing style guide, corporate style guide, and solicitation requirements by validating technical terminology, organizational names, and acronyms
• Serve as the owner of the technical editing process, ensuring proposal content is grammatically correct, complete, compliant, responsive, and highly customer-centric for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, task orders, and related corporate initiatives
• Apply advanced editorial judgment to identify gaps, risks, and weaknesses; recommend strategic content improvements; and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen proposal quality and competitiveness

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer technology, English, journalism, or other job-related field or 4 years of job-related work experience

The hourly rate for this position is $39.01.
