Role overview
Respiratory Care Practitioner responsible for delivering comprehensive respiratory therapy services across ICU and CICU units on a float basis. The role supports physicians and nurses in managing critically ill patients and ensuring safe, effective respiratory interventions.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care services across ICU and CICU units (float coverage)
- Operate and manage ventilator support systems and respiratory equipment
- Perform patient assessments and support diagnostic and treatment planning
- Assist with airway management, resuscitation, and emergency interventions
- Deliver oxygen therapy and other respiratory care procedures
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory care devices
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on patient care plans
- Document all patient care activities in accordance with clinical standards
Requirements
- Education or training meeting eligibility for respiratory care certification/licensure
- Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license (required upon hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required upon hire)
Salary : $66,000 - $106,000
