NETA III/IV Field Service Technician

Overview:
Performs field service work on electrical power systems across industrial and commercial environments. This role focuses on testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and diagnostics across low to extra-high voltage systems.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, commission, and collect data on electrical power systems (480V through EHV)
- Perform testing and diagnostics on transformers, relays, cable systems, switchgear, and circuit breakers
- Conduct relay calibration and power metering on moderately complex systems
- Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and related control systems
- Support emergency response through on-call rotation
- Travel regionally with occasional overnight assignments
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Power, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- NETA Level III or IV certification (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of switchgear and power system diagnostics
- Proficiency with standard computer tools (e.g., Excel, reporting software)
- Solid understanding of electrical safety practices and standards
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical requirements
- Ability to travel regionally, including overnight assignments
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and emergency call-outs
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred:
- OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, CPR/First Aid certifications
- Experience in industrial or utility environments
- TWIC card or passport
Salary : $120,000 - $160,000
