About the Role
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for electromechanical and cable assembly products. This role will focus on improving quality, efficiency, safety, and cost while supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, methods, and technologies for electromechanical and cable assemblies.
- Create and maintain assembly procedures and work instructions.
- Partner with engineering teams to support Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) initiatives.
- Assist with new product cost estimates and manufacturing planning.
- Identify, validate, and implement new manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Design fixtures, tooling, and production equipment to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
- Provide technical training to manufacturing personnel.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency, yield, and throughput.
- Investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate product design changes and manufacturing updates.
- Track project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned initiatives.
- Collect and present production and process performance data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
- Experience supporting electromechanical assemblies, cable assemblies, or similar manufacturing environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electromechanical or medical device assembly and testing.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD design and modeling.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience designing, assembling, or troubleshooting automated or semi-automated equipment.
- Basic knowledge of machine programming and I/O logic.
- Experience supporting validation activities.
- Experience using Microsoft Project.
