Job Description
- The IT VMO Manager is responsible for overseeing the governance, performance, and strategic alignment of IT vendors to ensure delivery of high-quality services and compliance with organizational standards.
- This role acts as the primary liaison between internal IT stakeholders and external vendors, driving value through effective vendor relationships, risk management, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Governance & Strategy
- Develop and maintain vendor management policies, processes, and performance frameworks.
- Align vendor strategies with IT and business objectives to support digital transformation and operational efficiency.
Contract & Compliance Management
- Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with security, privacy, and risk mitigation standards.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Implement vendor scorecards and dashboards for performance tracking.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Financial Oversight
- Manage vendor budgets, cost optimization initiatives, and consolidated billing processes.
- Identify opportunities for savings through rate benchmarking and competitive bidding.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the single point of contact for vendor-related escalations and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with procurement, legal, and IT teams to ensure seamless vendor onboarding and offboarding.
Technology & Tools
- Drive automation and process improvements for vendor lifecycle management.
- VMS Implementation experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7 years of experience in IT vendor management, procurement, or supplier governance.
- Strong knowledge of VMS tools (e.g., Coupa) and IT service delivery models.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC, ISO).
